Purgatory was crafted through the research into my ancestry, and an interrogation into the customs surrounding rituals of death. We grasp photographs as memories, more reliable than our fickle memories that fade with time. However, photographs too are susceptible to the decay of time; they too age, and are not as permanent as they seem.
